1. Sri Vanchiyam: For success in Operation:
Sri Vanchiyam Temple is famous for Success in Operation and
cure from Operation.
Yama Dharmaraja (The god of Death) actually prayed here first
even before Vinayaka. Legend says, this temple being built by Yama
Dharmarajahimself for Shiva to cure his sin of taking life of people. Yama is a
vahana here for Lord Shiva. As per astrology and many astrologers, those who
pray here before operation can expect success in operation with the blessings of
Lord Shiva and Yamadharmaraja.
2. Thiru Kadavur or Thiru Karukavoor:
To defeat Death
Lord is Amirtha Kadeswarar. (Lord is Manifestation of
Celestial Nector during the churning of Parkadal. That is why the God here
called Amirtha Kadeswarar). Amman is Abirami Amman. Abirami Bhattar wrote the
famous "Abhirami Anthathi" for the Goddess of this Sthala.
In this very same temple, Shiva Killed Yama to save Markandeya
to save him from certain death. When Markandeya attained 16 years, Yama came
here to take the life of Markandeya. Markandeya hugged Shivalinga. Still,
Yama thrown the noose to take the life of Markanday but as Markandeya was
hugging shivaling, the noose fell around Shivaling also. Shiva got angry and
killed Yama. Hence, Shiva here called "Kaala Samhara Murthy"
(kalan - Yama, The god who killed Yama, The god of death).
So, to defeat death from deadly and life threatening diseases,
major operation, prayer here will be highly advisable.
So, as per the legend, those who wish to prolong life, can
offer prayer her to defeat death.
So, the functions for old people to extend their life are
being done here regularly

These are being done to extend the
life and postpone the death. If your parents crossed more than 60 and if you are
not able to do these Shanthi poojas, you can opt for the Archana Pooja Service.
3. Thirupanjili - To remove the fear of Death
Legend says after the killing of Yama @ Thirukadavur, there
was not death at all in the world. So the population increased manifold. As the
weight of the earth increased, Bhoomadevi requested Lord Shiva to give life to
Yama. Shiva gave life to Yama here and yama was born as a child again.
Those who pray Lord Shiva (Neelivaneswarar) and Yama
Dharmaraja here, will not have any fear of death.
Our Service:
We do poojas @ all 3 temples for those who are
sick, are going for major operation, or facing life threatening diseases or
having fear of death.
Also, those people whose parents have crossed
60 years, but they have not done Shanthi, can opt for this simple service to do
some justice to their aged parents. (at any scale, It may not be equal to the
Shanti Parihara but atleast you can have some consolation)
